Areas of care

Could this approach help you?

These are some of the main areas in which we can support you.

They are not separate compartments

The areas you will find below do not work in isolation. Digestive health, immune regulation, hormonal balance, metabolism and rest all influence one another.

That is why the assessment does not start by placing you in a category, but by listening to your whole story. It is common for several of these areas to overlap in a single case.

Digestive health and gut microbiota

The gut as the starting point.

A comprehensive approach to digestive symptoms and disorders of intestinal function, including dysbiosis, abdominal bloating, gas, changes in bowel habit and other functional digestive disorders. The relationship between microbiota, intestinal barrier, immunity, metabolism and inflammation is assessed.

Autoimmune diseases and immune regulation

Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, psoriasis...

An integrative approach to autoimmune and immune-mediated diseases, studying the factors that may influence the regulation of the immune system. Aspects such as gut health, nutrition, metabolism, stress, sleep, lifestyle and individual predisposition are taken into account.

Hormonal and metabolic health

Hypercholesterolaemia, diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome...

A global assessment of metabolic and hormonal disorders, such as insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, changes associated with perimenopause and menopause, and difficulty losing weight. The aim is to understand the mechanisms that may be contributing to the imbalance.

Fatigue, stress and sleep disorders

When tiredness stops being occasional.

The study of persistent tiredness, low energy, chronic stress and sleep problems from a global medical perspective, assessing possible nutritional, metabolic, hormonal, immune and lifestyle-related factors.

Chronic low-grade inflammation

Why pain persists over time.

An approach to processes in which inflammatory, metabolic, immune or neuroendocrine mechanisms may be involved. The factors that may contribute to the persistence of pain and to a lowering of the body’s tolerance threshold are studied.

Neurological health and neuroinflammation

The connection between brain, immunity and metabolism.

An integrative assessment of factors related to brain and neurological health, taking into account the interaction between the nervous system, immunity, metabolism, gut microbiota, nutrition and lifestyle. It may complement the approach to migraine, cognitive disturbances and other neurological disorders.

Personalised medicine, genetics and nutrigenetics

Genetics, always within the clinical context.

The study and interpretation of genetic variants that may influence certain metabolic, nutritional and individual responses. Genetic information is always placed in the context of the clinical history and may help to personalise prevention and treatment strategies.

Bioimmunogenetics

The area that gives rise to BI(G)MED.

BI(G)MED is a diagnostic and therapeutic approach based on molecular biology, immunology and epigenetics. Through the study of the immune system, persistent infections and genetic predispositions, it makes it possible to go deeper into the biological mechanisms involved in disease and to guide a more precise, personalised therapeutic strategy.

Prevention, longevity and healthy ageing

Looking after tomorrow’s health today.

An assessment of risk factors and mechanisms related to ageing, metabolic health, inflammation and lifestyle, with the aim of preserving function, preventing imbalances and promoting better long-term health.

Advanced interpretation of blood tests and diagnostic tests

Reading the results within your history.

A comprehensive medical assessment of conventional blood tests and specific tests, interpreting the results within the patient’s overall clinical context. When indicated, microbiota studies and metabolic, nutritional or genetic tests may be added to go deeper into the mechanisms involved.
